Nestled in the San Francisco Presidio is an area called Woodline. There is a nice grove of eucalyptus tress that offer a nature like feel to the photos. This is in contrast to the many iconic San Francisco locations we frequently take our newlyweds to. This time of day the sunlight filters through the trees and creates some great natural lighting. We placed the bride just in the right spot so the sun backlit her hair, giving a sort of glowing feel. One great thing about shooting in natural light is that it allows us to take the photo very quickly because we do not have to set up off camera flash. In pictures like this we ask the bride to balance on one leg for the photo so it is important that the groom hold on tight. We tried to keep it short of this particular photo so the bride did not have too balance on one leg for very long. Woodline has become one of our favorite places to take our couples after the San Francisco city hall wedding photography session is complete.
